WOW! It has been 4 months since Emerson Salon moved locations to Mosaic Studios Broadway. The transition was predominantly smooth and clients seem to be enjoying the new spot! The secure access, the underground parking inside Broadway Market and the new & old decor in the suite are a huge success (especially the ornate wallpaper!) This Thanksgiving I opted to keep it solo as I just recently traveled to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts to see my sister and brother-in-law. Instead, I traveled to NEAH BAY north of Forks on the peninsula near the coast. It was very wet but the drive was gorgeous and only one slight hiccup with an interesting detour due to a closed road due to landslide! Check out the Tik Tok I made by clicking on the image below:
In other news- lots of exciting things are happening with the statewide Personal Services trade association I volunteer with- Cosmetologistsofwashingtonunited.org. We are working with a legislative lobbyist this upcoming session starting in January and we have added to our Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee. We aim to empower, protect and uplift the Personal Services industry in WA state! We are awaiting the IRS to review/approve our non-profit 501 C6 status so we may give tax deduction receipts for donations moving forward.
Lastly, I highly encourage everyone to vaccinated and/or boosted at their earliest convenience. With discovery of the new omicron variant as well as the current danger of Delta it is especially prudent to layer your protections wherever you can. Keep masking, vaccinating, hand washing and social distancing. I care about YOU and will continue to ensure caution and safety inside my business.
